About 150 Islanders turned out at the East Chop Beach Club on Friday, July 16, to eat, drink, socialize, and dance — all for the benefit of the Martha's Vineyard Arena. The occasion was the 10th annual Ice Savours, the principal fundraiser for the Arena and its user groups — skaters and hockey players of all sizes, shapes, and abilities.
Susie Wallo organized the event and Howie Sashin was the auctioneer. Passed hors-d'oeuvres were provided by Herring Run Kitchen, and Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish made the music.
