The MVRHS boys’ cross country team conceded the first two places to Coyle & Cassidy, but filled the next five slots to gain a 25-30 win on their home course, Wednesday. Warriors John Mantia and Andrew Zayak finished together in first place at 17:01.

The Vineyard phalanx was led by Willy Nevin at 17:19, Then, in close order, came Cooper Chapman 17:44: Kyle Joba –Woodruff 17:45; Mike Schroeder 17:51; and Job DeForest, 18:11.

The Islanders are unbeaten with three wins to their credit.

The CC girls’ team also provided the winning runner and the runner-up, followed by Vineyarders (3) Megan Dreyer at 20:44 and (4) Shivonne Schofield . But the Woman Warriors also filled the 5th and 6th slots and won the meet, 26-31. Other MV scorers were (7) Lilly Neville 21:59; (8) Eva Balboni 22:43; (9), Maya Harcourt 22:54, and (10) Sophie Ulyatt, 23:12.

The MV girls are 3-1 for the year.
