As the school year draws to a close, Martha’s Vineyard eighth-grade students bid goodbye to their elementary schools in a flurry of graduations held last week.
Ceremonies for eighth-graders took place on June 11 at the Tabernacle for Oak Bluffs School, June 12 at the school gym for Tisbury School, June 13 at the Ag Hall for West Tisbury School, and June 14 at the Old Whaling Church for Edgartown School.
Chilmark School will hold a ceremony on June 21 for fifth-graders who are moving on to a new school next year. The Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School’s end of the year ceremony on June 21 will include a graduation ceremony for eighth-graders.
