Labor Day 5K
Get your sneakers ready for the Pennywise Path Walk/Run to the New Library 5K this Monday, Sept. 2. Participants will be bussed from the Edgartown School to Pennywise Path Preserve off 18th Street and race back to the school, next to the site where the new Edgartown Library will be built. Classic rides on display Sunday
The Tisbury Firefighters’ Association’s seventh annual Car Show is this Sunday, Sept. 1, along Main Street in Vineyard Haven. Catch a glimpse of classic cars and motorcycles, vote for your favorites, and enjoy food and drink from 1 to 5 pm. Rain date is Sept. 2. Proceeds benefit the Tisbury Firefighters’ Relief Fund. Shop for Women’s Health
Select stores are donating 5 percent of their sales on Saturday, August 31, to Friends of Family Planning of Martha’s Vineyard for the second annual Shop for Women’s Health event. So far, the participating stores are Stina Sayre Design, Red Mannequin, Bananas, and The Green Room. Others are expected to sign up.
