At the Edgartown Bridge Club at the American Legion on Monday, September 23, six tables were in play. North-South winners were Charlie Harff and Gail Farrish, followed by Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen in second. East-West winners were Pat Devaney and Barbara Pigott, followed by Sari Lipkin and Carol Whitmarsh in second.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on September 24, eight and one-half tables were in play for an ACBL International Fund game. Overall winners were Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft, followed by David Donald and Michel Riel in second, Jim Kaplan and Barbara Besse in third, Susan Sadler and Sally Fitzgerald in fourth, and Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen in fifth. Also placing in the North-South direction were Nancy and Dan Cabot in third, and Bill Blakesley and Cecily Greenaway in fourth. Placing in the East-West direction were Bob Iadicicco and John O’Keefe in fourth.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on September 26, seven and one-half tables were in play. North-South winners were Barbara Besse and Jim Kaplan, followed by Gail Farrish and Charlie Harff in second, and Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen in third. East-West winners were Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft, followed by Ken Judson and John O’Keefe in second, and Pam and Rich Peia in third.
