At the Edgartown Bridge Club at the American Legion on Monday, October 28, eleven pairs competed. Results will be reported next week. The Edgartown game is moving to the Edgartown Yacht Club for the winter, beginning November 4. Game time is still 12:30 pm.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on October 29, seven tables were in play. North-South winners were Carol Whitmarsh and John O’Keefe, followed by Bill Blakesley and Cecily Greenaway in second, and Michel Riel and David Donald in third. East-West winners were Dan and Nancy Cabot, followed by Nancy Neil and Bea Phear in second, and Ency and Robert Fokos in third.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Halloween, seven tables were in play. North-South winners were Barbara Silk and Bea Phear (how scary is that?). Second place went to Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen and third place to Barbara Besse and Sandy Lindheimer. East-West winners were Dan and Nancy Cabot, followed by Nancy Neil and Gerry Averill in second, and Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft in third.
