The M.V. Harley Riders took to the road Sunday for the 25th annual Red Stocking Run around the Island, to collect money and toys for the Island charity that gives food, clothing, and toys to children in need at holiday time.

In total, the riders raised $11,319. Donald BenDavid helped to raise $9,758 of that total and eight-year-old Samantha Searle raised $184.

The Red Stocking is funded by donations from individual Islanders and businesses and by three major events — the Big Chili Contest held every year in January at the Portuguese-American Club, the Chowder Contest held during Christmas in Edgartown during the second week in December, and the Red Stocking Run.
