Dick Carlson of Oak Bluffs shot four perfect rounds of skeet at the Martha’s Vineyard Rod & Gun Club last month, dusting four sets of 25 targets with a 12-gauge shotgun. Earlier in the month he shot a perfect round of 25 with a 28-gauge shotgun.

Dick’s name will be engraved on the perpetual straight plaque in the clubhouse and he will be receiving a 25 and 100 custom skeet straight pin to mark his achievements, club president Bob Delisle said.

The Rod & Gun Club started the Skeet Straight Club in 1998 with the goal of developing better shooters. Each time a member shoots a 25, 50, 75 and 100 straight with a particular gauge gun, the shooter’s name goes on the plaque and the coveted pin is awarded.
