Charter Captain Jeff Canha of Vineyard Haven invited a group of friends along on his boat Done Deal on a fishing trip well south of the Vineyard last week. The men traveled about 100 miles to Hydrographer Canyon. Trolled ballyhoo was the ticket to success.
Aiden Gates, 12, of Oak Bluffs caught a 5-pound yellowfin tuna. Mark Kokoszka boated an 80-pound wahoo. Both fish were entered in the Mass Annual Saltwater tournament.
