The Permanent Endowment Fund for Martha’s Vineyard has announced the appointment of Julie Anne McNary as executive director.
Ms. McNary is an experienced fundraising and development professional with deep Vineyard ties. She was trained at Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School of Education, Wellesley College, and Emerson College in Silicon Valley. She also teaches business and expository writing courses online for Harvard.
“I love the work of meaningful and powerful fundraising, and I believe in the extraordinary privilege of service that a strong development leader can offer an institution on myriad levels,” Ms. McNary said in a press release. “The Permanent Endowment has a vision for supporting the Vineyard through grantmaking and scholarship and I want to help them widen their resources so that they can enrich that vision.”
“We are thrilled by Julie Anne’s enthusiasm for this position,” board chairman Melissa McKee Hackney said. “The match with the Endowment comes at a time when we are looking to substantially grow the Fund. It’s a perfect fit.”
