Gas prices in Massachusetts fell again this week, marking six straight weeks of double-digit price drops. AAA of Southern New England reported Monday that its surveyors found prices ranging from $1.95 up to $2.69 for a gallon of regular unleaded, with an average price of $2.15. That’s down 10 cents a gallon from the week before, and 42 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

Massachusetts motorists a year ago were paying an average of $3.40 per gallon, or $1.25 per gallon more than they are today, the State House News Service reported. On Martha’s Vineyard this week, the price of a gallon of regular was about $3.10.
