The Martha’s Vineyard Squirt and Peewee teams will compete on Feb. 6–8 in the annual Ryan Mone/Eric Maclean Invitational youth hockey tournament held at the Martha’s Vineyard Arena. The Vineyarders will skate against teams that include the Nantucket Nor’Easters, South Shore Seahawks, Milton Snipers, and the North Shore Ice Hawks.
The tournament begins on Friday night, with the two Martha’s Vineyard squirt teams (MV white vs. MV purple) facing off at 5:40 pm. The peewee MV team takes on South Shore at 9:10 pm.
On Saturday, each team plays twice. MV purple first plays Nantucket at 7:40 am, and takes on the South Shore Conquistadors at 5 pm; MV white plays the Conquistadors at 8:50 am, then goes up against Nantucket at 6:10 pm. The Martha’s Vineyard peewee team plays the Milton Snipers at 11:10 am, then challenges North Shore at 8:30 pm.
The Squirt consolation game will be played at 8:20 am on Sunday, while the championship game will be played at 9:30 am. The peewee consolation game will be at 10:50 am on Sunday, followed by the championship game at noon.
