A press release from the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation announced that the foundation is now accepting inquiries for its 2015 mental health grant cycle through the foundation’s online grants portal. Organizations located in Dukes County that focus on programs which prevent or alleviate mental illness –— particularly serious mental illness — among children, adolescents, and young adults (to age 26) may be eligible for funds. Applicants should create an online account no later than Feb. 27, and can submit a preliminary grant request until March 4, 2015. Visit thetowerfoundation.org to learn more about how to apply.

The legacy of Peter and Elizabeth Tower sustains the work of the foundation they created in 1990. The Tower Foundation remains focused on improving the lives of young people in the communities where Tower family members have lived, worked, and raised their children. Most grants support organizations or community-based collaboration in western New York (Erie and Niagara counties) and eastern Massachusetts (Barnstable, Dukes, Essex, and Nantucket counties).
