Island Theatre Workshop announced the recent appointment of Kevin Ryan as artistic director. Mr. Ryan, vice president of Island Theatre Workshop, is familiar to Island audiences for his work in music and theater as he moves between roles as actor, director, costumer, set designer, and singer. Island artistic credits include works with Island Theatre Workshop, Vineyard Playhouse, Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center, Taylor Toole Films, The Yard, the Union Chapel Quartet, Island Community Chorus, and as producer of the annual Reflections of Peace concert, now in its 18th year.
Mr. Ryan currently serves as vice chairman on the board of directors for the Edgartown Council on Aging, and is a passionate supporter of many Island charitable organizations. A Vineyard resident since 1987, he is responsible for the operation of the Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club retail store in downtown Edgartown.
