The 2015 MVRHS outdoor track and field season ended on Saturday, June 6, when two Vineyard stars participated in the Massachusetts All State Championships held at Fitchburg State University.
Ennis Foster competed in the triple jump, while Olivia Smith participated in both the 100m and 400m hurdles. Olivia ran 1:07.26 in the 400m hurdles, which earned her 16th place, and 16.51 in the 100m hurdles, which placed her 22nd. Ennis triple-jumped in 41.03, which placed him 14th.
Only the top 20 to 30 athletes per event qualify to compete at the All State Meet, out of more than 14,000 track athletes statewide, and the invitation alone is an honor.
