Two Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School teens are among a group of outstanding high school students from across the nation selected to attend the “National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine,” simultaneously running in 10 colleges across the country. Camilla Prata and recent MVPCS graduate Brigida Larsen will attend the forum based at Babson College.
Throughout the nine-day program, students are introduced to emerging issues in public health, medical ethics, research, and general practice. Site visits to top medical facilities expose the next generation of medical professionals to the real world of medicine, according to a press release.
Founded in 1992, the National Youth Leadership Forum has helped prepare extraordinary young people for their academic future and professional careers. For more information, go to envisionexperience.com.
