You don’t have to go to Munich, Germany, for Oktoberfest this year. Chef Scott Cummings of Oak Bluffs’ gastropub 20 by Nine has put together a German-inspired four-course menu to celebrate the harvest season with beer in German style, to be enjoyed right here on-Island, Wednesday, Sept. 30. Beer director Adam Jamie, a certified Cicerone (which means he’s a pro at serving beer and pairing it with food) has chosen German-style beers made here in the U.S. in the traditional style, from Ballast Point, to pair with Chef Scott’s menu. Here’s what’s planned: handmade pretzel and cheese fondue, composed German potato salad and fennel sausage, beef rouladen, braised red cabbage, spaetzle, and apple strudel with smoked ice cream.

Space is limited, and seatings will begin at 5:30 and 8 pm. Tickets are $70, and are available at bit.ly/oktoberfestmv.
