The Oak Bluffs Blazers boys basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 65-29 interscholastic basketball win over the Edgartown Eagles Tuesday afternoon at the Oak Bluffs School.
The Blazers started the game on a 16-4 run, and never looked back. Oak Bluffs played a solid game at both ends of the floor. The Blazers used quick perimeter passing to find the open man, crashed the offensive boards, and grounded the Eagles with a stifling pressure defense.
Jared Regan led O.B. with 18 points. Aiden Araujo was relentless in the paint and scored 14. Andrew Marchand had nine points, and Jeremy Regan added eight.
For Edgartown, Aiden Rogers had the hot hand with 15 points. Gabriel Thiago Brito was three of four from the foul line, and scored 10. Dylan Burke chipped in four points.
