America’s oldest carousel began to spin again today, and children from around the Island came to Oak Bluffs to ride the Flying Horses and make a grab at the brass ring. Others played arcade games or ate popcorn, and passersby, hearing the music of the carousel’s old Wurlitzer Band Organ, peered in the open windows of the barn.
