The Featherstone Center for the Arts will host a book launch on Monday, June 13, from 6 to 8pm for Jane Dreeben’s book, “The Urge to Create: Vineyard Portraits.” The book highlights Island artists and creative people with written profiles and photographic portraits. The book and corresponding event will feature Featherstone Director Ann Smith, as well as teachers and community members such as tapestry weaver and singer Julia Mitchel, painter Liz Taft, and architect and musician Bruce MacNelly. Featured musicians Jeremy Berlin and Eric Johnson will perform. Books will also be available for purchase and signing. For more information, visit featherstoneart.org.
