At the Edgartown Bridge Club on Monday, June 27, 13 tables were in play. Finishing first North-South were Sandy and Michael Lindheimer, followed by Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen in second, Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft in third, Barbara Silk and Dave Donald in fourth, and Story Osborne and Don Nelson in fifth place. Finishing first in the East-West direction were Sue Collinson and Bea Phear, followed by Steve Allen and Cathy Minkiewicz in second, Louise Marx and Jerri Grannis in third, George and Isabel Shattuck in fourth, and Mary Baker and Lee Kleinman in fifth.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on Tuesday, June 28, 19 pairs competed. Finishing first were Dan and Nancy Cabot, followed by Andrew Jacknain and John O’Keefe in second, Dave Donald and Michel Riel in third, Deirdre Ling and Ed Russell in fourth, Lee Scott and Anita Person in fifth, Miles Jaffe and Jim Kaplan in sixth, Barbara Besse and Sandy Lindheimer in seventh, and Sari Lipkin and Carol Whitmarsh in eighth place. The Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club will be holding its Tuesday-evening game at the Tisbury Senior Center through August 30. Game time is 7 pm.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Thursday, June 30, 10 tables were in play. Finishing first in the North-South direction were Sandy and Michael Lindheimer, followed by Story Osborn and Audrey Eggers in second, Anita Persson and Richard Williams in third, and Gail Farrish and Warren Morse in fourth place. In the East-West direction, Dave Donald and Rich Colter finished first, followed by Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft in second, Ken Judson and John O’Keefe in third, and Ency Fokos and Zsuzsa Kastner in fourth.
At the Bridge Club of Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday, July 2, 10 tables were in play. Finishing in first place in the North-South direction were Deirdre Ling and Ed Russell, followed by Duncan Walton and Ann Brown in second, Story Osborne and Don Nelson in third, and Clara Hargrave and Don Brown in fourth. In the East-West direction, Carol and Bob Bowman finished in first place, followed by Jim Kaplan and Brooks Robards in second, Millie Henderson and Yvonne Bauer in third, and Joan Byrd and Brenda Davenport in fourth.
