Eversource has repaired a faulty electrical connection on Main Street Edgartown. The busy roadway has reopened to traffic.
Earlier, police closed off Main Street between Summer and Water Streets to allow Eversource to repair a faulty transformer linked to power outages that had struck downtown business throughout the day, town officials reported.
The problem was traced to cabling in a crawl space.
