As part of the 50th anniversary celebration of his song “Alice’s Restaurant,” Arlo Guthrie will visit the Tabernacle on Tuesday, August 2, at 8 pm for a special solo performance. The singer-songwriter and natural-born storyteller’s career exploded in 1967 with the release of the iconic 18-minute Thanksgiving Day song. The event is sponsored by the Martha’s Vineyard Camp Meeting Association, and tickets are priced between $45 and $65. All proceeds benefit the Tabernacle Preservation and Restoration Fund. Doors open at 7 pm. For more information, contact events@mvcma.org or call 508-693-0525. For tickets, visit www.mvcma.org.
