Jonas Lukowitz pitched a complete-game, two-hit shutout as Martha’s Vineyard clinched a berth in the MIAA state baseball tournament with a 3-0 win over Bishop Stang in an Eastern Athletic Conference (EAC) contest Friday at Vineyard Baseball Park.
Lukowitz struck out seven Spartans and walked two in seven innings as the Vineyarders improved to 4-1 in the EAC and 10-5 overall.
Chris Mayhew went 2-4 with two singles and three RBIs, Elias Fhagen-Smith singled three times in four at-bats, scoring twice with two stolen bases, and Sam Bresnick hit two singles and stole a brace of bases.
