The Island’s little iconic pink whale with a big following can now be found on Main Street, Vineyard Haven.

“We are thrilled to be opening a store in Vineyard Haven and are committed to maintaining its charm and history,” Vineyard Vines CEO and co-founder Shep Murray said in an email to The Times. “Growing up on the Island, we spent a lot of time in Vineyard Haven and on Main Street  visiting Bunch of Grapes bookstore, so it’s always been a place that’s very close to our hearts.”

This is Vineyard Vines’ third location on Martha’s Vineyard. The other two are in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs.

The store is holding its opening day through 4 pm Friday. There was a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 am and the day’s events will include refreshments, live music, photos, a visit from the famous Vineyard Vines whale, and a free baseball cap with purchases over $150.
