The Division of Marine Fisheries has announced the shellfishing ban, which began on March 1 as a result of the major storm, will be lifted in waters south of Cape Cod, including Martha’s Vineyard, effective at sunrise on Friday, March 9.

However, according to an email, Tisbury Great Pond will remain closed to shellfishing oysters because the water level is so high.
