Island Gymnastics fly high in Westborough meet

Island Gymnastics, coached by Beth Goodell, sent 10 gymnasts to the Showers, Flowers and Flips Meet, hosted by MGC in Westborough on Sunday, March 25.

Xcel Gold child division:

Molly Crawford, 1st vault 9.2, 5th bars 9.0, 4th beam 9.05, 2nd floor 9.5, and took silver with 2nd All-Around 36.75.

Arianna Edelman, 6th vault 9.0, 3rd bars 9.1, 7th beam 8.7, 1st floor 9.9, and took bronze with 3rd All-Around 36.7. Arianna is now ranked fifth on America’s Top 100 for Xcel Gold for floor exercise.

Amy Maeda, 6th bars 8.9, 2nd beam 9.35, 6th floor 9.2, and 4th All-Around 36.05.

Xcel Gold junior A division:

Sara Goodale, 5th vault 9.15, 5th bars 8.65, 2nd beam 9.0, 5th floor 9.1,and 4th All Around 35.9.

Xcel Bronze child division:

Casey Webster finished 9th All-Around, and took 3rd place on vault, 8.8.

Abigail Henry placed 11th All-Around, and had an 8.9 on bars.

Autumn Wiggin placed 14th All-Around, and had an 8.8 on bars.

Xcel bronze junior A division:

Grace Voshell, 4th vault 9.05, 2nd bars 9.4, 4th beam 9.2, 2nd floor 9.4, and silver with 2nd All-Around 37.05.

Gabrielle Guimaraes, 5th vault 9.0, 6th bars 9.2, 6th beam 9.0, 7th floor 9.1, and 5th All-Around, 36.3.

Nikita Kleeman, 7th vault 9.0, 6th floor 9.15, and 9th All-Around 35.9.
