To the Editor:
If you’re unlucky enough to wind up in our hospital ER, thank your lucky stars if your nurses are Patty Gazaille, Helen Green, and Beth Smith. What a job they did for my husband George. And let’s not forget Nurse Natasha, who knew EXACTLY how to talk to George. MGH nurses have no skills greater than these women, who are amazingly adept and caring in their work. Dr. Zack amazed me as well, giving me as much time as I needed to state my concerns, as did Dr. Casper. Plus, they both cared enough to figure out the best med doses for George. I am so grateful for the quality of care these outstanding people gave my husband. Other departments in the hospital could learn from the ER. Thank you deeply.
