Glad school wasn’t razed

To the Editor:

Regarding Ralph Friedman’s reproach that I “neglected” to mention that the Teaticket School is now used for administration, it is indeed a shame that the lovely school was turned into an administrative building before the movement to renovate and expand historic schools got underway. A lot of stupid things were done in the ’60s regarding historic structures and whole historic neighborhoods. Fortunately, the Teaticket School did not fall to the wrecker’s ball.
