Scandinavia’s largest guitar fair, Fuzz Guitar Show, is this Saturday, May 26, and Sunday, May 27, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Islander Mike Kerr from the band FirstBourne will be there performing, and doing demos and daily clinics.
“I was invited to do demos and talk about my new signature distortion pedal called the Mike Kerr Lions Roar, made by Joyo,” Kerr said in an email to The Times. “I’m endorsed for this event by the Swedish store called Musikproffset.”
The guitar fest is a trade show where companies and stores involved in the instrument business and music industry will showcase their gear.
Kerr’s band, FirstBourne, is a five-person rock and power metal band from Boston. They specialize in captivating hooks and masterful musicianship, according to their band website. Kerr is on guitar, Adrienne Cowan is the vocalist, and Ven Thangaraj is on bass. The band teamed up with Sony Brazil’s producer and guitarist Jimmy Oliveira to create their first full-length album, “Riot.” FirstBourne often performs on-Island, and was at the Ritz last Friday.
