Patti Leighton is the newest member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands advisory board, according to a press release.
“We are extremely pleased that Patti has chosen to join our board,” said Connie Alexander, chair of the Martha’s Vineyard advisory board, according to the release. Leighton was praised for “her extensive involvement throughout the community.”
Leighton is the community relations director at Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank. According to the release, Leighton has a “strong sense of family and community, is devoted to making a difference through her school savings program, serving on the bank’s Charitable Committee for nonprofit organizations, and has a deep appreciation for the Island.”
Leighton has served on the organizing committee for the Possible Dreams Auction at Martha’s Vineyard Community Services for 20 years, in addition to serving on the MV figure skating board and the MV Ice Arena’s board of governors, according to the release.
