Martha’s Vineyard Bank has announced that Wayne Lamson and Reid Silva were elected to the board of trustees at the bank’s annual meeting of the corporators, held on Nov. 14. According to a press release, Lamson previously was elected as a corporator of the bank in May 2018. Silva, in addition to his appointment to the board of trustees, will also serve the bank as a corporator.
Both Lamson and Silva bring an impressive set of skills as well as a deep breadth of knowledge of the Island. Lamson served as the Steamship Authority’s general manager from 2004 until his retirement in 2017. Mr. Silva is the owner-operator of Vineyard Land Surveying and Engineering. With their experience and insight, Lamson and Silva are sure to prove a tremendous addition to the board of trustees, helping to push forward the mission and vision of the bank.
In welcoming Lamson and Silva to their roles as trustees and corporators of the bank, James Anthony, president and chief executive officer of Martha’s Vineyard Bank, stated that “Wayne and Reid’s commitment to the community, personal integrity, and business acumen will serve the bank well as stewards of the bank’s businesses and affairs.”
