MVRHS senior Tristan Scheller and sophomore Kyle Rollins won their weight divisions at the ninth annual Ryan Moore New England Open Powerlifting Tournament on Sunday. Tristan, competing at 163 pounds, had three lifts totaling 1,118 pounds, while Kyle, competing at 205 pounds, had three lifts totaling 1,189 pounds. Both athletes will now head to the National High School meet in Louisiana at the end of March.
