Emily Turney of West Tisbury was named NE 10 Player of the Week, two weeks in a row, by NE 10 Division II Softball. The awards cited her excellent batting average in games played in week 5 and week 6 of the 2019 season.
Emily played at MVRHS all four years under Coach Herman, and was recruited to play at Adelphi University on Long Island, NY. She is in her junior year studying physical therapy. In 2018 she was named to NFCA All-Region Second team, and NE 10 All-Conference Second Team.
