Island Alpaca Company is home to over 40 friendly, fluffy alpaca. Primarily a breeding farm, they welcome visitors year round to see these furry friends and meet the newest baby alpaca (called cria, some of the cutest animals you’ll ever encounter).

The farm is also known for its fabulous farm store. In addition to yarn and handmade goods made from the fleece of their own animals, Island Alpaca also features fiber cooperative products made here in New England, where half of their fleece harvest goes towards making, as well as hand-crafted goods from Peru and Bolivia. You will find alpaca hats, scarves, sweaters, gloves, socks, arm warmers, teddy bears, and even felt ornaments made by one of the farm’s staff members. Their wonderful, impossibly soft, yarns are wrapped with a label featuring an image of the specific alpaca from whose fleece the yarn is made.
