All are invited to the 60th annual Friends of the West Tisbury Library Book Sale on Friday, July 26, through Monday, July 29, at the West Tisbury Elementary School:
Friday, July 26, from 9 to 3 — full-price
Saturday, July 27, from 9 to 3 — full-price
Sunday, July 28, from 9 to 3 — half-price
Monday, July 29, from 9 to 3 — free
According to a press release, for 60 years the Friends of the West Tisbury Library have raised substantial money by selling donated books. This annual sale is a four-day event that recycles over 40,000 books each year. The sale raises at least $25,000 each summer to support library needs.
Many dedicated buyers arrange their summer schedule to include the sale, always held at the end of July or early August. The organization of the sale, which is so often lauded by patrons, is thanks to more than 45 volunteers who work for the month of July sorting and pricing donations. Special thanks to year-round sorters Lee and Helen.
If you have still have books you would like to donate, please bring them to the West Tisbury School gymnasium on weekdays between 9 am and 12 pm.
The Friends appreciate your book sale donations, and thank you for your support of our library.
