A prescribed burn at Manuel Correllus State Forest created a dramatic sky behind the press box at Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School Thursday afternoon.
The burn took place near the Sharks baseball field, according to a text alert sent out by the town of Edgartown Thursday.
For the third day in a row, a prescribed burn will be done in Edgartown this time at Katama Airfield. “Please use caution if driving Herring Creek Road due to smoke/less visibility,” the alert states.

That’s what the island is going to look like every day very soon when that weed dispensary opens up.
What a great way to participate in the global Climate Strike. Why are we still setting fire to brush and dumping carbon into the atmosphere again???
