Sunny weather and fall temperatures drew large crowds for this year’s Pumpkin Festival, held at Morning Glory Farm.  Hundreds of people came to the farm to pick pumpkins, and enjoy hayrides and pumpkin-themed goodies. Kids could enjoy face painting and dancing, as well as stickers from the “pumpkin princess.” Toward the end of the day, visitors could watch as pumpkins were launched across an adjacent field with a wooden trebuchet, a medieval slingshot.  The festival also showcased the farm’s homemade goods, like pumpkin soup and icing-covered slices of pumpkin bread, washed down with fresh-pressed apple cider.
