Coming up at the Vineyard Haven library

Need some repairs to your home? TRI, The Resource Inc., has funding opportunities available for eligible residents to pay for critical home repairs such as roofing and siding, heating and plumbing, and energy-efficiency upgrades. A representative will visit the Vineyard Haven library on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 2 pm during Housing Rehab with TRI. Visit their webpage or contact Melissa Vincent with further questions at 508-696-3285.

On Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 7 pm enjoy the film “Miracle on 34th Street” while you wrap holiday gifts at the library. The library will provide wrapping paper and fixings so patrons can finish up that task, while the classic holiday film plays in the background. The Friends of the Library will have a free book giveaway, as well as providing festive snacks.

The library hosts a nonpartisan Town Hall event with Dukes County Commissioner Keith Chatinover on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 pm. According to the library’s press release, Chatinover will answer questions and hear concerns from Tisbury residents. Residents can provide public input on topics related to county government and services.
