Rockland Trust launches annual college scholarship program

Rockland Trust recently announced the launch of its 2021 scholarship program for high school students entering their freshman year of college in the fall of 2021. Rockland Trust, according to a press release, will offer 11 $2,500 scholarships to students based on their academic accomplishments, commitment to community service, and extracurricular activities.

Students must live in Rockland Trust’s service area to be eligible; this includes cities and towns in Plymouth, Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Essex, Middlesex, Nantucket, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Worcester Counties.

“At Rockland Trust, we’re committed to strengthening the communities in which we work and live. These students represent the future of our communities and we are deeply invested in their success,” Christopher Oddleifson, chief executive officer of Rockland Trust, said in the release.

Rockland Trust Scholarship applications are available online at RocklandTrust.com/scholarship. The deadline for applications is March 15, and award recipients will be notified by May 17.
