A back-and-forth game was decided by a two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning as the Pittsfield Suns defeated the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks 6-4 on Tuesday night at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Pittsfield took the lead with two runs in the fourth, but the Sharks answered back with three runs in their half of the inning, with the rally capped by a two-run double by Tommy O’Hara (Tufts).

Two more Pittsfield runs in the fifth gave the Suns the lead again. An Alex Lewis (Longwood U.) single in the seventh scored Grant Lamberton (Monmouth U.) to tie the game. After a scoreless eighth and ninth, Colin Gimblet launched a one-out two-run home run in the top of the 10th that proved to be the difference.

The Sharks will hit the road for two games, then will play their next home game on Friday, at 7 pm.
