Martha’s Vineyard Hospital is reporting 22 positive COVID-19 cases on-Island, with 436 negatives tests, 9 pending tests, and 467 total tests performed so far.
There are currently no patients hospitalized with COVID-19, according to the hospital.
As of Sunday, May 3, 1,824 new cases were reported by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, for a total of 68,087. There were 158 new COVID-19-related deaths today, for a total of 4,004. Currently, 5 percent of all cases are hospitalized, with 15,652 new tests reported today, for a total of 314,646 total tests conducted.

One must wonder if we will stay at 22 cases.
Just got off the Sunday evening boat from Woods Hole, yes I was wearing my mask.
But after seeing most SSA employees with masks worn on their necks or on their heads should the name be changed to the Steamship No Authority? That is bad right? Well then we saw most every passenger walking around the boat without a mask or again warn at the neck. One would expect the SSA and the Captains to be agents of the people and enforce the Governor’s orders to protect us All.
Oh and out of state cars, should they quarantine when they get to the Vineyard or in Woods Hole? Given how the owners of these cars waltz around the ferry without masks on the boat is a non-infectious safe zone …
So, are you now quarantining in your home for 14 days? Be honest.
Masks should be enforced, period.
Quarantining will be impossible to enforce.
The SSA said the boat staff is tested regularly and that we might not see them wearing masks all the time.
