MVCS thanks you for your help

To the Editor:

The development office of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services thanks the Martha’s Vineyard community for disposing of your old, tired, and used electronics at our Spring Electronics Disposal Day on Saturday, April 6! By 2 pm we had filled more than four containers graciously provided by Bruno’s Rolloff, Inc. Thank you to Greg Carroll and his excellent team at Bruno’s, who sponsored this event and assisted with all aspects of the day — including the heavy lifting.

A special thank you as well to our wonderful volunteers, who included MVCS board members June Manning and Wiet Bacheller, MVCS staff members Lisa Glus, Marney Toole, and Lindsay Miner, members of the MVRHS girls tennis team and the MVRHS boys hockey team, the tremendously helpful Sterling Bishop, and the Dukes County Community Corrections Division.

Thank you all, and we hope you start collecting those items you forgot to bring on April 6, and that we’ll see you at our next Electronics Disposal Day.
