Tisbury voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, April 23, to decide on a two-way race for selectman between Seth Gambino and Jeff Kristal.
Polls are open between 12 noon and 8 pm at Tisbury Emergency Services Facility.
Two other races will be decided as well, including a three-way race for one slot on the Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission between Lynne Fraker, Nora Nevin, and Nancy Weaver. There is a two-way race for assessor between incumbent Angela Cywinski and David Dandridge.
Three ballot questions will also be decided.
Question 1 asks voters to spend $650,000 on wastewater treatment and collection system improvements. Question 2 asks voters to spend $400,000 for costs related to Tisbury School, and Question 3 asks voters to support $297,656 for the town’s share of costs for feasibility and schematic designs for Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.
Absolutely NO to questions 2 & 3 as our taxes are thu the roof already!!
tis native– we spend unlimited money on wars, but we have to have bake sales for school supplies.. perhaps if we have educated leaders in the future, our taxes will go down..
