David B. Butchman, 75, of Vineyard Haven, passed away on Sept. 2, 2021, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.

Rest In Peace, David. Seems so long ago, and yet, only a few yesterdays we knew one another. May you dwell in The House of the Lord forever. With sincere sympathy to your family and closest friends.
I had the pleasure of getting to know David as I delivered meals to him every Tues. for almost a year and a half. One of his pleasures was golf. And he looked forward to his brother’s visit to the island so they could play at Mink Meadows. He said of him, ‘if he wasn’t my brother, he would be my best friend.” My thoughts are with his brother and entire family. Geoff Rose
