The fourth and final suspect in the 2022 Rockland Trust Bank heist on Martha’s Vineyard was sentenced to four years in prison by a federal judge on Monday.
Judge William G. Young sentenced Omar Odion Johnson, who had pleaded guilty to charges for his role in the November 2022 robbery. Johnson has been serving time since his arrest days after the robbery, which will count as credit toward his sentence; he was also ordered to serve three years of probation following his release.
Johnson is the fourth involved in the robbery to be sentenced since he pleaded guilty in 2023. Romane Andre Clayton, the alleged lookout man, was sentenced to four years on Jan. 22; Miquel Antonio Jones, the ringleader, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in December, and Tevin Anthony Porter was sentenced to 3½ years last week.
Prosecutors say that three of the individuals — Jones, Johnson, and Porter — wearing masks and carrying two handguns, forced bank employees to open the bank vault before making away with around $39,100.
