A motor vehicle accident in Edgartown resulted in one individual being taken to the hospital.
A construction van with “Vineyard Remodeling” printed on the side crashed into three parked cars on Edgartown–West Tisbury Road, across from the library in Edgartown.
The 53-year-old female operator of the vehicle was taken away on a gurney, according to a video captured by a Times reporter. She was brought to the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, according to Edgartown Police.
Edgartown Police Chief Chris Dolby said the woman is being charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, and having no inspection sticker.
The identity of the driver was not identified, and the seriousness of her injuries are unknown.s are unknown.
