We at The Times are heartbroken to report that Kay Mayhew, the Tisbury town columnist since 1987, passed away on April 12. “Too many birthdays and now lung cancer have now cut my time short,” she wrote in her final sign-off letter to the town. We offer our deepest condolences to her family — and also to the town, which has lost a local treasure.
